Helping find ways to prevent breast cancer through research

Iowa Cancer Specialists, P.C. participated in the National Cancer Institute’s (NIC) study which determined tamoxifen could significantly reduce the chance of breast cancer among post-menopausal women. The breast cancer prevention trial can be found online by clicking here.

Latest in detection, treatment

Iowa Cancer Specialist physicians utilize the latest in technology for the detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, and participate with the Center for Breast Health in providing a comprehensive, supportive approach in the treatment of patients. The group also provides specialized palliative care for cancer patients.

Active in community outreach

Iowa Cancer Specialists is active in community outreach in cancer prevention and support programs. The group sponsors the annual Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure in the Quad Cities and is a supporter of the Quad Cities ‘Gilda’s Club,’ a cancer support group.

Insurance information

Iowa Cancer Specialists will submit all insurance for its patients unless requested not to do so. New patients should give the receptionist their insurance card on their initial visit so the office can make a copy. The card will be returned to you. If you have an insurance change, please notify our offi ce. If you have a cancer policy, please notify our staff so we can provide you the needed forms.

Hours and contact information

Iowa Cancer Specialists' normal office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays. For after hours and weekends, patients should call 563-328-5140 to contact a physician.
